Real Madrid 3-0 Eibar: Weir celebrates in style

Caroline Weir’s 100th match for Real Madrid was one for the history books. The Scottish international started the celebrations in the middle of the match by scoring twice against Eibar. She really seemed roaring from the start. Scoring the opener within the second minute of the match. This goal truly was a present to Weir- with the ball being delivered to her by teammate Athenea del Castillo. Weir kept up this prolific form in the second half turning the score into 2-0 in minute 47.

With this win Real Madrid find themselves third in the league on 26 points only one point behind city-rivals Atlético who are in second whilst Barcelona lead the league with 33 points. The home side won comfortably. Dominating possession with 68 percent. Goalkeeper and captain Misa Rodríguez was only tested once in 90 minutes. Real looked cool, calm and collected and will be looking to build some momentum after a dodgy run of games recently which included a loss in the Champions league against Arsenal, a draw against Paris FC and a 4-0 battering against top of the league and bitter rivals Barcelona.
